A top Al Gore campaign official on Friday said "this election is not over" after the unofficial result of the Florida vote recount put George W. Bush ahead by a mere 327 votes and Bush officials called on Gore to concede.
"Contrary to claims being made this morning by the Bush campaign, this election is not over," campaign chairman William Daley said in a statement.
The statement came shortly after CNN reported an unofficial media tally of the vote recount in all 67 Florida counties that put Bush ahead of Gore by a 327-vote margin -- 2,910,198 votes against 2,909,871 -- WASHINGTON (AFP)
