Iranian Government spokesman Abdullah Ramezanzadeh, during a press conference in Tehran on Sunday declared that the Islamic Republic based its overall policies on the three principles of dignity, national interest and wisdom, which have a focal role in shaping Iran's foreign policy.

According to IRNA, the spokesman rejected claims that Iran had adopted an inactive approach to the peace proposal floated last month by Saudi Crown Prince Abdullah, pointing out that, "Iran will make its stance known at the proper time".

Tehran, he expressed, would declare its position on world issues as the need arises, adding, that they have nothing to do with its stance being inactive or hostile.

The Iranian government spokesman reiterated that Iran views Saudi Prince Abdullah's peace plan for the Middle East crisis as part of his efforts to secure what is good for the Muslim world.

"The important thing is that Tehran supports any measure to establish a just peace in the Middle East and to materialize the demands of the Palestinians," he said. (Albawaba.com)
