The Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) has successfully taken part at the 11th Musiad International Trade Fair organized in Istanbul- Turkey. More than 60 countries from around the globe took part at the Musiad Fair which is considered one of the key commercial and industrial exhibitions in the Asia.
A delegation from the RAK FTZ attended the exhibition and introduced the Turkish investors and participating companies to the services and facilities that the zone offers to its registered clients.
Oussama El Omari, CEO for RAK FTZ said the zone’s participation at the Musiad Fair which ran from November 22-26 along with some other UAE public, private and financial departments was a part of the zone’s marketing strategy.
The zone’s participation at the Musiad Fair was the fourth of its kind, as the zone has actively participated in four events in Turkey this year. He noted that the Turkish investment in RAK FTZ increased by 30 per cent in the past two years, stressing that such participations would pave the way for increased cooperation between the two sides.
The zone’s stand at the Musiad Fair was in a big demand and heavily visited by visitors and participating companies to get introduced to the zone’s tempting offers and state of the art services and facilities.
Meanwhile, the RAK FTZ delegation has just arrived home from UK after an active participation at the “Emirates - UK Business Investment Conference” held in the UK from November 22-24. This participation will further boost bilateral relations between the RAK FTZ and UK where the number of the British companies registered with the zone has reached 192 in diverse activities, and is expected to increase in the near future.
The zone’s participation in an international fair in (Boneh) of India on the coming December will be this year’s final abroad participation. The RAK FTZ has actively participated in 23 international exhibitions held in different parts of the world during the year 2006.
El Omari said that Ras Al Khaimah offers tremendous opportunities for business partnerships in diverse sectors like industry, tourism, education and IT and that makes the RAK FTZ an ideal destination for increasing number of companies to get registered.
