A grenade was thrown into a parking lot being used by Israeli troops opposite Jerusalem's Old City Friday afternoon, reported the Jerusalem Post, quoting Israel Radio. No injuries were reported.
Authorities said the grenade was thrown from a building in the adjoining Silwan village.
The radio said that five of the building's occupants were arrested.
Israeli forces were on full alert Friday after a bomb car exploded the previous day in west Jerusalem, killing two Israelis and injuring ten others.
