Following the highly successful launch of its flights to Sydney, Etihad Airways is now turning its attention to Ireland and the start of its four flights-per-week service to the capital city, Dublin.

As part of the airline’s promotional campaign ahead of the 3 August launch, Etihad is offering some of the lowest priced fares ever to Dublin, with return coral zone (economy) tickets starting from AED1,330.

There has also been considerable demand for premium cabin seats following the announcement of Etihad’s introductory fares of AED7,330 for pearl zone (business class) and AED9,330 for diamond zone (first class).

Raymond Korban, Etihad’s regional general manager for UAE and Oman, said: “In recent years Dublin has become one of Europe’s most popular destinations for Middle East-based business and leisure travellers, and with introductory prices starting at AED1,330 return we expect this to become one of our busiest routes.”

Dublin is another major destination on Etihad’s expanding global network and will be the Abu Dhabi-based airline’s eighth European destination, joining Brussels, Frankfurt, Geneva, London Heathrow, Manchester, Munich and Paris.

The Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday flights will also enable business travellers and holidaymakers to fly from Dublin to Etihad’s high profile eastbound destinations which include Bangkok and Sydney.

Mr Korban continued: “We anticipate demand for this route will continue to grow with Arab travellers keen to explore the wonderful Irish countryside and culture and the UAE’s thriving Irish community taking advantage of our low fares and state-of-the-art in-flight product.”

Etihad will operate a three cabin Airbus A330-200 between Abu Dhabi and Dublin configured to carry 200 passengers with 10 in diamond zone, 26 in pearl zone and 164 in coral zone.

Starting on 3 August, Etihad flight EY045 will operate every Monday and Friday, departing Abu Dhabi at 2.05am and arriving at Dublin at 7.35am. The return flight EY042 departs from Dublin on the same day at 10.15am, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 8.35pm.

The second flight, EY041 will operate every Saturday and Tuesday, departing from Abu Dhabi at 1.55pm and arriving in Dublin at 7.25pm. The return flight, EY408, departs from Dublin at 9.10pm, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 7.30am the following day. All times are local.
