gulf air to serve iftar meal onboard during ramadan
Welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, Gulf Air will be serving a special Iftar meal onboard for fasting Muslims during the holy month.
The meal will be served on Gulf Air’s evening flights (between 3 and 7 pm) across its Middle East network from the first day of Ramadan during the entire duration of the holy month so that Muslims can break their fasting with the call of Magreb prayer.
“As the airline with the largest network in the Middle East, Gulf Air carries a substantial number of Muslim passengers onboard and we understand the importance of the holy month of Ramadan,” says Gulf Air Executive Vice President Marketing and Sales Lee Shave.
“What better way there can be than offering the Iftar meal onboard to our Muslim brothers and sisters to enable them break their fast at the right time?”
The special meal, containing dates, labhan, sandwich, fruits and an Arabic dessert, will be served in a specially designed box, so that passengers can have the option of taking it along with them in case they reach their destination before Magreb.
Passengers will also have the option to choose regular meals during these timings, if they wish, which will be available on all flights throughout the day.
