Bahraini Abdulla Al-Kooheji's consultancy company, Fastrack Training and Development Consultancy, won the prestigious International Quality Crown (IQC) award for Excellence and Prestige in the 'Gold' category from Business Initiative Directions (BID), UK.
His company was selected for the award in an international poll among companies from 67 countries from all over the world including those listed in Fortune 500 in recognition of its commitment to quality, leadership, technology and innovation, which make them models for other companies in their sectors.
Gulf Air sponsored Al-Kooheji to fly to London to receive the award at the annual Quality Crown Award Convention held in December.
"Gulf Air is very pleased to have sponsored Abdulla's travel to receive the coveted award", says Gulf Air Acting President and Chief Executive Ahmed Al Hammadi. "It is a great honour for Bahrain and the recognition Abdulla won at the international arena, I am sure, will encourage more Bahrainis to follow him."
Dedicating the award to Bahrain King His Majesty Hamad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa and people of the Kingdom, Al-Kooheji says, "I am very thankful to our national carrier Gulf Air for helping me to go to London to receive the award. I feel very honoured that a Bahraini and a Bahrain-based company have been chosen for the award from among the fortune 500 companies in the world."
“The IQC award is different from other awards because it is not just a contest focusing on the biggest brand or the most extravagant marketing strategy. The recognition is based on the criteria of the QC100 quality model, implemented in over 100 countries among companies evaluated by a panel of judges."
The BID is an international organisation that is oriented towards sharing quality culture in leading companies worldwide and recognises corporate excellence and business prestige through the IQC award every year.
