Every intern working at the magazine this summer was granted a RED account with Gulf Bank and shared in a 1000KD grant that was split between the participating students.
The internship was sponsored to help encourage the students in their work at ABWAB, which is Kuwait’s first youth magazine, and the first collaboration between RED and the magazine has proved highly successful.
A special awards event was held at Gulf Bank’s MAK branch with bank Youth Manager Ebtihaj AlRoomi and ABWAB General Manager Azzam Al-Omaim present to reward the interns. Al Rai’s youth focused Raykom Shabab programme, presented by Saleh Al-Rashed, broadcast the awards event.
Gulf Bank Youth Manager Ebtihaj AlRoomi said: “As a Bank we are fully committed to helping university and college students to have the very best start to their adult banking career and our RED program has been specially designed with these young adults in mind. Our first partnership with ABWAB magazine has also proved to be highly successful and demonstrates Gulf Bank’s ongoing commitment towards supporting Kuwaiti youth.”
