Two assailants have opened fire at the US Consulate building in the Turkish city of Istanbul, causing a gunfight with the police, the country’s media say.
According to the private Dogan news agency, no one was hurt in the attack on Monday and the two assailants managed to escape.
However, police have since detained a female suspect, Reuters reports.
