ALBAWABA - A proposal by mediators to free Israeli-American captive Idan Alexander and the remains of four other dual-national hostages has been accepted by Hamas.  The organization demands that Israel stop violating the ceasefire agreement and completely abide by it.

Hamas said on Friday, March 15, that it has officially responded to a request to restart ceasefire talks in Gaza.  They stressed that they approached the proposition with "responsibility and positivity."

Hamas stressed in its statement that Israel must be held responsible for carrying out its end of the ceasefire agreement and reaffirmed its willingness to discuss a comprehensive agreement for the next stage.

Hussam Badran, a senior Hamas leader, reaffirmed the organization's unwavering position and threatened to restart talks if Israel broke the deal.

Badran said, "We are committed to implementing all phases of the ceasefire agreement," and that Hamas has called on mediators to make sure Israel stops violating the accord.

Trump's Plan for Gaza Displacement Is Rejected by Hamas
In response to former US President Donald Trump's proposal to deport Gazans, Badran vehemently disagreed, saying, "Palestinians will never abandon their land."

Hamas appreciates all efforts that uphold Palestinian rights and strengthen the ceasefire accord, Badran said.

In addition, he pledged to defend Al-Aqsa Mosque from Israeli aggression and attempts at Judaization and reiterated the Palestinian people's determination to oppose any attempts at forcible relocation.
