ALBAWABA - Hamas, the militant Palestinian group, reported intense street clashes with Israeli forces in the northern Gaza Strip.
In an announcement from Hamas' armed wing, the Al Qassam Brigades, it was revealed that "heavy clashes" were taking place between their fighters and invading Israeli occupation forces in the northwest of Gaza. These combatants are reportedly engaging in heavy confrontations using automatic and anti-tank weaponry.
The clashes between Hamas fighters and occupation forces are expected to intensify in the coming days, creating an atmosphere of heightened tension.
Earlier, the Izzeddin El Qassam Brigades disclosed that they had launched "mortars and rockets" at an Israeli military position in Erez, the main crossing point between Palestinian territories and Israel, which had remained closed since the conflict began on October 7.
Over the weekend, the Israeli military expanded its ground operations in Gaza, marking the transition to a new phase in the ongoing conflict.
