ALBAWABA - Khalil al-Hayya, the chairman of the Hamas movement in Gaza, acknowledged the organization's formal announcement of Yahya Sinwar's martyrdom. Al-Hayya reiterated Hamas' commitment to its mission, saying that Sinwar's passing will only make them more determined to fight Israeli occupation.

According to Al-Hayya, Sinwar was a front-line combat commander who was often moving between battle locations and interacting with Israeli soldiers.

Sinwar continued to fight after being released from jail, and he saw what al-Hayya referred to as the "Great Flood," which was a reference to major Hamas military operations.

Al-Hayya claims that his passing carries on the tradition of Hamas martyrs, continuing the work of leaders such as the movement's founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.

Al-Hayya emphasized that the blood of martyrs like Sinwar will provide direction for the resistance's future and strengthen their will to fight.

He underlined that Hamas will keep fighting until all of its claimed territory was turned into a Palestinian state, with Jerusalem serving as its capital.

Al-Hayya also said unequivocally that the movement will become stronger and more determined as a result of Sinwar's and other leaders' deaths.

Al-Hayya issued a warning that the release of Israeli captives detained by Hamas would only occur if Israeli troops stopped attacking Gaza, left the region completely, and freed Palestinian inmates from Israeli prisons.
