Palestinian rivals Hamas and Fatah have ended their latest round of talks in Cairo without reaching a deal. The meeting between Hamas and Fatah along with the mediator, Egyptian intelligence chief Omar Suleiman, ended with agreement to hold another session from the 25th of July till the 28th.

Azzam al-Ahamed, the head of Fatah’s parliamentary group, said the group hopes to sign an accord with Hamas by July 28. He said there was “a clear easing of tensions in the talks ... on the prisoners and on other issues.” Izzat Rashaq of Hamas confirmed the two sides would resume talks in Cairo on July 25.
