ALBAWABA - Hamas official Mahmoud Mardawi denies Israeli allegations that Al-Qassam Brigades head Mohammed Deif was killed in an Israeli army airstrike in Gaza.

He said according to AlArabiya, Dief is fine and he is watching Israeli allegations of his assassination in a strike in Khan Yunis.

Nonetheless, Sky News Arabic revealed that Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq said: "Confirming or denying the killing of any of the Qassam leaders is only at the hands of the movement’s leadership." He further noted unless Hamas announces any details regarding the killing of any of its leaders, none of the circulating news can be confirmed.

Avichay Adraee, the Arab media division of the Israeli Army Spokesperson's Unit, confirmed on Thursday that the Israeli army had killed Mohammed Deif in Gaza in an airstrike on July 13.

The Israeli army's alleged announcement of killing Mohammed Deif came one day after the rocket attack that killed Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.

In a post on X, Adraee shared a clip allegedly showing the moment when Israeli forces bombed the place where Deif was staying.

He added that weeks ago Israeli warplanes carried out a raid on the compound where Mohammed Deif and Rafeh Salama, the commander of Hamas's Khan Younis Brigade, were staying.
