ALBAWABA - The Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, published a video of Israeli captives in Gaza. Saturday's footage shows hostages discussing their conditions and giving emotional messages to their families.
The Al-Qassam Brigades' Telegram channel posted the video of detainees discussing their struggles under military pressure.
Kibbutz Nahal Oz resident Omeri Meran, 47, stated in the video that "we have not been able to celebrate any holiday together this year because of this terrible war, and I have been here as a Hamas captive for more than 200 days." "We are living in difficult conditions under heavy bombardment and I miss my dear family," Meran continued.
Meran went on, "It is time to reach a deal to get us out of here while we are still alive and in good health," urging the people of Israel to exert as much pressure as they can on the government via all available channels, including carrying on with protests, in order to facilitate talks that would hopefully result in a deal.
In the video, a 64-year-old Israeli captives from Kfar Aza called Keith Seagal says, "I love you very much," in a "moving" letter to his family. I hope you are doing well as well, because it is vital for you to know that I am."
Along with that, he remarked, "I have very beautiful memories of Easter last year when we celebrated together," and then started crying. "I really hope we will have the best surprise possible."
This is the Al-Qassam Brigades' second video in two days, following a detainee's criticism of the Israeli government and request for their release.
Qatar, Egypt, and the US are mediating a captives exchange and ceasefire between Israel and Hamas. After a ceasefire until early December last year, this initiative began.
