ALBAWABA - Israel claimed multiple wounded when an anti-tank rocket struck Metula in Upper Galilee, igniting new confrontations. According to Al Jazeera, the Israeli air force retaliated by bombing Marwaniyeh and Kharaib in southern Lebanon, killing several.

The airstrikes killed 27 and injured 16 across Mount Lebanon, the south, and Bekaa, according to Lebanon's Ministry of Health. A separate airstrike on Bednayel in Bekaa killed three and injured six, according to the ministry. Israeli attacks in Lebanon have killed 53 and wounded 99, according to Al Jazeera.

The IDF said that Lebanon fired 10 rockets against the Golan Heights, some of which were intercepted and others fell in unoccupied regions. Many of the 15 rockets targeted toward the Upper and Western Galilee fell harmlessly, although three were intercepted by IDF officers.

According to Nahariya, northern Israel, interceptors shot down rockets over eastern and northern territories. Three persons were injured when a missile hit an open area near Nahariya, according to Israel Today.

Hezbollah launched its first missile attack against Israel's Avital reconnaissance post in the occupied Golan Heights. The organization also claimed responsibility for a missile strike on Israeli soldiers between Houla and Marjayoun in southern Lebanon and Upper Galilee.

Israeli troops lost soldiers as Hezbollah militants battled an Israeli squad trying to infiltrate near Aitaroun. Hezbollah fired rockets at Israeli targets in northern Israel, including Even Menachem, Zarit, Shomera, Shtula, Kiryat Shmona, and Shraga near Acre, in an escalation.

After Israel's Gaza incursion on October 7, 2023, border tensions with Hezbollah and other Lebanese groups escalated. Israel has expanded operations throughout Lebanon, including Beirut, with large-scale bombings and ground deployments in southern districts since September 23, defying international warnings, according to Al Jazeera.

Israeli attacks in recent weeks have killed over 3,136 people, including many children and women, and displaced about 1.4 million, according to Lebanese health authorities.
