ALBAWABA - In reaction to Israel's fatal airstrikes in southern Lebanon, the Lebanese movement Hezbollah has launched operations against two military facilities housing Israeli troops.
In a statement, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the deaths and injuries of many Israeli troops on Monday when it used "appropriate weapons" to attack a military facility at the Manara kibbutz in the Upper Galilee region, which is close to the Lebanese border and has a view of the Hula Valley.
In a separate incident, Hezbollah fighters struck Israeli soldiers stationed at a building in the Yaron settlement in Western Galilee, leaving behind casualties at the site.
Hezbollah stressed that the two operations were in retaliation for "Israeli enemy strikes on southern Lebanon regions, particularly the town of Shebaa and the village of Houla, as well as in solidarity with the unwavering Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and courageous Palestinian resistance groups".
Later, in retaliation to strikes on Aitaroun, it used a kamikaze drone to hit the Bayyad Blida station, a building in Avivim, and monitoring equipment located in the Ramim barracks.
The developments arose a day after Hezbollah fighters forced an Israeli fighter plane to fly out of Lebanon's airspace after its missile defenses clashed with the aircraft.
Commenting on the series of events, Hezbollah released a statement saying: "launched anti-aircraft missiles at the enemy's F-15 warplane, which was violating our airspace and breaking the sound barrier in an attempt to scare ordinary people".
