High-tech innovations in the home-audio equipment market and rapid advances in digital technology are set to fuel the growth of the industry to unprecedented levels with the global market expected to reach AED 105.7 billion in 2008, according to market research by Gfk Group and the Consumer Electronics Association (CEA(R)). This phenomenal growth has ensured that audio companies from around the world are headed for Dubai to display the latest emerging technologies and audio products at the forthcoming International CES/hometech show in Dubai May 25 – 27, 2008.

“Technology and innovations within the audio industry have evolved providing multiple options, enhanced sound quality and clarity, totally redefining the audio experience,” said Eckhard Pruy, CEO of Epoc Messe Frankfurt. “International CES/hometech will provide international trade visitors with the ability to fine tune their audio experience and get the most out of today’s technologies under one roof.”

The Dubai event will attract suppliers of audio networking solutions, stereo and multi-room audio equipment and source controllers, amplifiers and in-ceiling, in-wall, surround and outdoor speakers, audio hardware and software, digital terrestrial and satellite radio tuners, MP3/WMA/AAC players, docks and D/A converters, multi-channel and home theater audio systems among others.

“There is a frequent entry of technologically enhanced products into the market, as audio manufacturers attempt to differentiate from the competition and this has spawned growth in the home-audio segment,” said Mehtap Kenar, Senior Show Manager, International CES/hometech.
She noted that attractive products with sleek designs and innovative features are gaining market share.
