“The sustainability of the program, with all its educational messages, falls under the umbrella of the responsibility we and our partners undertake toward early childhood protection and development; also, a very helpful and essential role can be played by the parents and the educators, as their cooperation and contribution to this project will extremely enhance the positive influence on the children’s lives”.

“Our efforts and aspirations have no limits, and we are currently in the process of producing the 4th season of Hikayat Simsim, to ensure sustainability and continuity of this vision”, he added.

USAID Mission Director for Jordan, Mr. Jay L. Knott stated “I am particularly excited about this initiative because it goes beyond
the focus on the cognitive skills and children's literacy and numeracy
capabilities. This project also serves as a catalyst for positive social
change by addressing self-esteem, respect for others and other cultures,
and pride in self and country. Its focus on instilling civic pride in
young children will lead to a generation of young Jordanians who will
grow up wanting to contribute positively and productively to their
community, country and the world at-large”.

Hikayat Simsim is Made Possible by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Bank of Jordan. The project works within the parameters of the Ministry of Education’s Education Reform for the Knowledge Economy Program (ERfKE) that works on reforming education in Jordan and enhancing students’ knowledge economy skills to build and sustain a better future for Jordan’s children.
