Horizon.FCB in Kuwait, part of Horizon Holdings, one of the top marketing communications groups in the Middle East, recently took first place in an art competition for the Kuwait advertising community. The competition, hosted by the Hilton Resort’s Blue Elephant Royal Thai Restaurant and in collaboration with the Communication Zone, was themed ‘Draw an Elephant’. Fifteen advertising agencies competed in the exhibition, which featured over 85 drawings of elephants in different forms, shapes and colours.
An international panel of judges evaluated each design, based on various criteria, and announced the winners of the contest at a special dinner held at the Blue Elephant Royal Thai Restaurant.
Horizon.FCB’s Graphic Designer, Sevan Kouyoumjian, claimed first prize out of the top three winners for her design entitled: a visual definition of ‘extinct’.
The agency also took home 5th, 6th, 8th and 10th place, winning a total of five out of the ten prizes.
“We are extremely proud of our creative team at Horizon.FCB for all the hard work they put into this competition. Their drawings were truly inspired, imaginative and original. Competitions such as these are vital for the advertising industry, and it was great to see the creative community pulling together to ensure that this exhibition was a success”, commented Said Zeineddine General Manager of Horizon.FCB Kuwait.
