ALBAWABA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian is heading to the Lebanese capital Beirut on Friday, IRNA reported on Thursday.
The Iranian ambassador in Lebanon posted on social media that Amir-Abdollahian will arrive in Beirut tomorrow and is expected to hold a meeting with senior Lebanese officials on regional issues.
A while ago, many Lebanese and Syrian media outlets reported that Iranian FM would hold a visit to Lebanon, however, they didn't reveal the date of the trip.
According to IRNA, the FM's visit is the third visit since the start of the Israeli aggressive attacks on Gaza, which started on Oct. 7.
Israel has been carrying out airstrikes in Southern Lebanon as a response to Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli army positions over the war in Gaza.
Gaza's health ministry reported on Thursday that at least 27,840 Palestinians have been killed in the territory since the war, while a total of 67,317 people have been injured.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip, captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
