ALBAWABA - In an announcement on Telegram, Yemen's Houthi group stated that they had targeted more than 170 ships passing the Red Sea in support of the people of Gaza, including 41 Israeli vessels.
Additionally, Al-Masirah TV, a Houthi-affiliated broadcaster, stated that "Yemeni Armed Forces had also targeted 72 US-flagged ships and 12 UK-flagged ships across the Arabian and Mediterranean Seas in addition to the Indian Ocean,".
Meanwhile, US Military Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on X attacking "Houthi uncrewed aerial vehicle and two Iranian-backed Houthi anti-ship ballistic missiles launched from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen over the Red Sea,".
Following CENTCOM's announcement, a joint US and UK series of strikes targeted sites in the Yemeni city of Taiz, with no reports of the aftermath caused by the strikes.
These strikes come under a series of coordinated attacks by the US and its allies on "Houthi-affiliated sites" across Yemen in response to the group's naval attacks, leading Houthis to consider US and UK vessels a legitimate target.
Al-Aqsa Flood operation against Israel
Hamas military group announced on Oct. 7 a military operation called "Al-Aqsa Flood" against Israel which is the biggest offensive in decades.
Palestinian fighters “infiltrated” Israel from the Gaza Strip and captured military bases and took hostages as photos and videos went viral online showing Hamas fighters on vehicles inside Israel and others paragliding into occupation territory.
In response, Israeli armed forces announced targeting Hamas positions inside the Gaza Strip. Thousands were killed, and dozens of thousands of others were injured in the Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The latest statistics by the Ministry of Health in Gaza revealed that the death toll from Israeli brutal pounding on the Gaza Strip since October 7 has soared to 39,653+ people, with more than 91,535+ injuries.
Since then, approximately 85% of Gazans have been displaced, all of whom are suffering from severe food insecurity, and the healthcare system has collapsed. Hundreds of thousands of people lack shelter, and aid trucks are entering the area at a lower rate than before the conflict began.
