HP Middle East today extended the boundaries of traditional entry-level workstation computing with the introduction of a high-performance, low-cost workstation featuring the latest Intel processors.
Engineered for innovators, the HP xw4400 Workstation features the new Intel® Core™ 2 Duo and Core 2 Extreme processor and 975X Express chipset for significantly greater performance and increased business productivity.  The combination of powerful Intel processors and HP innovation make the xw4400 ideal for meeting the ever-increasing computing demands of engineers, designers, video editors and power users – all at an affordable price.
“Our customers in the Middle East have an increasing demand for performance.  The new xw4400 offers breakthrough performance over previous system architectures,” said Junaid Rahman, Workstations Category Manager, HP Middle East. “The xw4400 through HP innovation uniquely provides dual graphics capabilities, internal USB port for secure software licensing, leadership acoustic levels as well as reduced power required at the plug.”
Expandability and reliability for a variety of users
Designed to deliver the performance and flexibility users in SMB, enterprise, and OEM business need, the xw4400 comes pre-loaded with Microsoft Windows 32-bit or x64, along with a wide range of graphics, memory, and storage options (including new Serial Attached SCSI hard drives).  The xw4400 will also be Windows Vista Capable™ at launch, and will offer preloaded Red Hat Enterprise Linux later this fall.
For mechanical CAD engineers, architectural engineers, and architects, the xw4400 provides a reliable, fully supported workstation solution at prices starting from USD1000. In addition, the xw4400 is available with a wide range of ISV tested and certified PCIe x16 graphics cards, which offer higher performance for professional applications, better stability for improved work efficiency, and faster, knowledgeable support.
For digital content creators, the xw4400 offers a highly-expandable solution ideally suited for the economically-minded content creator or educator.  With HP’s performance-enhancing engineering, the xw4400 is designed to facilitate print and electronic design, 2D animation, web authoring, video editing, and corporate content creation.  Its dual core capabilities deliver the faster computational rendering times formerly found only from Intel Xeon® systems.
Versatile and powerful performance through innovation
Besides enhanced entry-level performance, the xw4400 features a versatile, convertible mini tower chassis that gives users the option of using the workstation as a desk-side solution, or in a desktop configuration. The xw4400’s tool-less chassis provides a compact and powerful solution with the flexibility needed for easy service, upgrading, and maintenance.
Additional product features include up to 8 GB total memory capacity to enable manipulation of large data sets, which previously had to be split into subsets, along with 64-bit Extension Technology, which provides support for enormous virtual memory addressing and the capability to run 64-bit operating systems and applications. The xw4400 also includes several features to keep data safe, including a lockable chassis, chassis intrusion detection, and cable lock features for added protection.
HP also works hand-in-hand with leading Independent Software and Hardware vendors to create advanced solutions to ensure easy deployment, management transitions, and support throughout each product’s lifecycle, leading to lower the total cost of ownership.  Like all HP products, the xw4400 also is ROHS compliant, designed for minimal impact on the environment.
The xw4400 comes with a three year warranty, which includes parts, labor, and next business day on-site support.  The xw4400 will be available in early August 2006.
