Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunication network solutions for operators around the world, recently welcomed Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna bint Khalid Al Qasimi at its Head Quarter in Shenzen, China.
Al Qasimi traveled with a UAE delegation to the China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair), currently held at the city of Guangzhou and stopped at the stands of Chinese, UAE and international companies. She also met with Chen Yingchun, Vice Mayor of the Chinese city of Shenzhen and discussed with him ways to boost bilateral relations, particularly in commercial and tourism domains.
Sheikha Lubna included a visit to Huawei’s Head Quarters in Shenzhen, China. Also in attendance were Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Saleh, the Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Trade, and Obaid Al Thahiry and Mr. Shaheen Shaheen, the Deputy Secretary General of the UAE Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry and a number of other figures. Huawei attendees included, Mr Han Junjie from Huawei China and Mr Du Zhuang, General Manager for UAE, Huawei.
Sheikh Lubna affirmed during the meeting UAE's keenness to enhance strategic relations with China, which is the country's second largest trade partner. She also praised the partnership between UAE's Etisalat and China's leading global telecommunications solutions provider Huawei.
