A huge fire broke out on Tuesday in Dizingoff Center, the biggest and most famous mall in Tel Aviv, reported Israeli media.
The fire caused damage but no injuries were reported. It was not attributed to a terrorist attack, according to the reports.
The mall caught fire when an electric spark in a Druze restaurant in one of the underground floors developed into a fire that spread to the other shops in the mall.
The police evacuated all the people and closed the roads around the shopping center, causing traffic jams in the city center. Firemen needed hours to put out the flames.
Surprisingly enough, initial investigations pointed out that this central building in the heart of Tel Aviv has had no license from the fire department since the start of 2001, said the reports.
