Mr. Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Chairman of Al Habtoor Group, received in his offices on Al Wasel Road, Dubai, Humaid Mohammed Al Khathami, the minister of education in the UAE. in Present was the brother of Mr. Khalaf, Mr. Sultan Al Habtoor and Mr. Mohammed Al Habtoor, the chairman’s son and CEO of the group.
In the meeting, the gentlemen exchanged their views on the situation of the educational sector in the Arab world and the UAE and the possible ways to improve the standard of education in the Nation.
In 1991, the Al Habtoor Group established the Emirates International School, The first International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme school in Dubai. With campuses in Jumeirah/Umm Sequeim and Meadows, Dubai, the Emirates International Schools educate over 4000 students from 100 different Nationalities, where English is the medium of instruction with foreign language options including Ministry of Education Arabic language curriculum. Mr. Khalaf Al Habtoor is also the founder of “Al Ittihad” school in 1975.
