Human Capital experts gather in Bahrain for top HR Conference: Mercer

Human Capital leaders and experts from the region’s biggest and best-known organizations are gathering in Bahrain this week.
Mercer has been appointed a Platinum Partner for the most prestigious 10th ASHRM HR Conference being held at the Gulf Hotel starting tomorrow.
The ASHRM conference is widely recognized as the premier HR forum in the Middle East.
The event will be opened by HRH Prince Sultan ibn Salman ibn 'Abd al-'Aziz Al Sa'ud, President and Chairman of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Commission for Tourism and Antiquities.
The three-day conference will feature keynote addresses from GCC government ministers and heads of the Middle East's biggest companies.
A number of senior Mercer figures have been asked to present on key HR issues, ranging from leadership effectiveness and talent mobility to measuring the effectiveness of compensation practices.
US-based partners Jay Doherty and Haig Nalbantian will be joined by Mercer’s top Middle East team, including Dr Brendan McCann, who will speak on leadership effectiveness for senior executives, and Jim Matthewman, whose paper focuses on global talent mobility.
At the adjacent Exhibitor Stand, Mercer team members will be on hand to run live demos of Mercer Tools such as IPE (International Position Evaluation), PayMonitor®, Global HRMonitor®, HC Dashboard and MWF™ (Mercer Workforce Forecaster™).
A Mercer spokesman said that the issues and trends surfaced during the conference will help define the solutions that HR and business leaders will adopt as they seek to align business and people strategies in their organizations across the Middle East.
