Hunter Foods FZCO records 25% growth in H1 2009

Hunter Foods FZCO, a premium Jafza-based specialty gourmet snacks manufacturer, has said that it has posted a 25 per cent growth in business in the first half of 2009.
The first snacks manufacturing facility to be established in Jafza, Hunter Foods FZCO recorded sustained double digit growth across all its brands during the last four years. Hunter Foods FZCO, whose performance defies the global economic slowdown, is hoping to increase its local and international sales several fold in the coming years.
Bharat Narayan, Chairman & Managing Director, Hunter Foods FZCO, said: “Hunter Foods has now consolidated its strength and expects to achieve a turnover of AED 50 million in the next 5 years by increasing our retail and bulk sales in the GCC, as well as in overseas markets. We’ll continue building on our reputation as a company that places quality over quantity. Hunter Foods has always aspired to be the best, not necessarily the biggest.”
Established in 1985, Hunter Foods was the first manufacturing company to choose Jafza as its base, and was the first fully foreign-owned project in Jafza.

The company’s product line includes a range of lentil poppadums, corn poppadums, Specialty potato chips, savory potato grills, fried onion rings and Freezo freeze drinks.
