HyperPanda lends a helping hand to UAE Down Syndrome Association with support campaign

HyperPanda – Dubai Festival City- a subsidiary of Azizia Panda United, one of the largest retail corporations in the Middle East, announces that the "Leave Change to Change their Live" initiative was successful to raise 220,000 AED in funds, in cooperation with UAE Down Syndrome Association for collecting donations from HyperPanda customers in Dubai Festival City, since it was launched in July 2009 until May 2010, pursuant to the Ministerial Decision No. 390 for the year 2009 dated on 29 June, 2009 issued by Ministry of Social Affairs.

The initiative aimed at motivating the customers of HyperPanda to donate change coins for supporting the UAEDSA, which is providing better quality of life and support to those who are suffering Down syndrome.

Down's syndrome is a chromosomal disorder, where the patients have 47 chromosomes instead of the normal number 46 chromosome.

In his generous step, Dr. Mohammad Amin Kashgari; President of Azizia Panda, handed over a cheque of AED 220,000 to Ms. Sonya Al Hashimi, President of UAEDSA which will help support their activities and services.

Dr. Kashgari pointed out Azizia Panda's awareness towards social responsibilities, and the belief of contributing to the best interest of the community.

"We are happy to work in collaboration with UAE Down Syndrome Association and making the successful of "Leave Change to Change their Live" campaign." he added. Dr. Kashgari, also expressed his deep grateful to those who are shopping at the HyperPanda to support this noble initiative assuring that the campaign will continue in its second year.

In her comments Ms.Sonya Al Hashimi of UAEDSA said:" We are thankful to Azizia Panda United for their consistent support, and we believe that this support will go along with our efforts to provide the children who are suffering these conditions, a better quality of life and also offer them an opportunity to play their unique role in the society."

Ms. Al Hashimi pointed out that the UAE Down Syndrome Association [UAEDSA] is a group which not only supports children with these conditions, but also provides several medical services along with educational, sport and social services offering them an opportunity to fulfill their distinctive role in society.

Ms. Al Hashimi concluded: "We would like to thank all who work with us to provide world- class services to those who suffered these conditions and their families. God bless you all and be with us to achieve our mission".
