ictQATAR, Qtel & Green Packet Sponsor Wireless Broadband Summit
Key Telecom Operators, WISPs, Regulators and Solution Providers will be convening in Doha, Qatar from 30-31 March 2008 to discuss the future of Wireless Broadband. With the adoption of WiMAX as an IMT standard last October and the certification of mobile WiMAX equipments starting in 2008 coupled with the roll outs of 3G, the region is bustling with activities and projects opportunities.
William Fagan, Executive Director of ictQATAR will be delivering the host Keynote Regulatory Address at the summit. Sheikh Fahad bin Jassim Al-Thani, Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Telecom will be delivering the Host Industry Keynote Address.
The industry stakeholders will be discussing the establishment of a regional mobile WiMAX operation in the Middle East; presenting strategies of wireline and fixed and mobile wireless broadband deployment; & business models for fixed-mobile convergence with HSPA.
