IDF arrests 50 Palestinians in West Bank raids

Israeli military forces detained 50 Palestinians overnight Sunday in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem, locals and the Israeli army said.

In the Hebron district, soldiers detained Anas Sami abdul-Jaleel al-Natshah,18, Shadi Mahmoud Qufaisha, Kifah Khadir Skafi, Islam Nader Ghanem, and Yousif Haitham Abu Atwan, locals said.

Mahmoud Ibrahim Abed, 23, was detained in the village of Surif after Israeli soldiers seized the identity cards of his mother and sister, locals told Ma'an.

In Tulkarem, Israeli forces detained at least 13 Palestinians, witnesses said, during a dawn raid in the village of Attil.

Israeli forces ransacked over 25 houses and arrested Khalid Hussein Abu Khazneh, Nayif Bassam Abu Thuheir, Ahmad Attiyeh al-Azzam, Mahmoud Khairi Attili, Laith Muhammad Qteish, Ibrahim Jalal Makhoul, Bahaa Rassem Qafaf, Issam Muwaffaq Mhanna, Wissan Murad al-Ghazzawi, Humam Attili, Thaer Muhammad Samih Qteish, Raed Majed Makhoul, and Ahmad Abu Hasna. 

Muntasir Nafe Mansour was arrested in the Nablus village of Burin, witnesses said, while Israeli forces raided and searched the homes of Yasser Eid, Ali Qadous, and Muhssin Qadous.

On Sunday, 53 Palestinians were shot and injured with live fire in clashes south of Nablus, while another 23 were shot with live fire in Tulkarem. 

Israeli media reported that 17 Palestinians were detained in East Jerusalem overnight on the pretext of participating in "violent actions" against Israeli police and border police.

An Israeli army spokesperson said 33 Palestinians were detained overnight in the occupied West Bank for "terror activities," with 13 arrested in Tulkarem, 13 in Ramallah, six in Hebron, and one in Nablus.

On Saturday, the Palestinian Authority Committee for Prisoners' Affairs that Israeli forces have detained up to 650 Palestinians since the beginning of October, most of them younger than 20 years old.

The committee said in a statement that most of the Palestinians were detained during clashes with Israeli soldiers, or subsequently in overnight raids on the pretext of resisting Israeli soldiers.
