Khaberni reports that IDF soldiers seized weapons that had been smuggled across the border from Jordan by Palestinians.
According to Israeli Channel 7 News, IDF soldiers discovered 20 pistols and five M16 assault rifles near the border between Jordan and the West Bank. The news channel did not specify the location further.
Two Palestinians are in custody and charged with smuggling the weapons. Their names have not been released. An investigation is ongoing to determine their contacts on the Jordanian side.
Jordan has not issued a statement on the smuggling incident.
