Imdaad, a Dubai World company exhibited its commitment to environment protection and conservation by marking the World Environment Day on June 5 with various activities aimed at spreading green awareness among children and adults. The programme was based on the theme “Global Resources. Reduce. Recycle. Reuse.”
Imdaad, the Facilities Management Solutions service provider actively participated in the three-day initiative launched by Ibn Batutta Mall, the unique shopping destination.
Imdaad took part in the exhibition and conducted various family oriented activities like a colouring competition for children and an environment friendly quiz for adults.
Mr. Jamal Abdullah Lootah, Chief Executive Officer of Imdaad, said: “Our commitment towards environment protection is total. One of our important social corporate responsibilities is towards the preservation of the Environment. We are aware of our role in ensuring a clean environment to Dubai where urban development is progressing at great speed. Imdaad used this opportunity to spread green awareness among families.”
Imdaad set up two stands at the exhibition, where several local businesses, non-profit organisations and government bodies took part and displayed materials related to green issues for three days from June 3-June5. The company’s programme included a colouring competition around environment for children in three age groups. All the paintings were exhibited at the stand.
A quiz contest was also held for teenagers and adults on “How Environment friendly aware are you?” The winners were presented with plants. The contest was conducted on recycled paper aiming to highlight the green message.
