Third Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition
Reed Exhibitions, leading organisers of conferences and exhibitions in the UAE, has announced today the inauguration of the Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition. The highly anticipated event, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from April 14-16, 2008, was inaugurated by His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Minister of Health.
Nael Attallah, Exhibition Manager, has stated that 5 additional countries are participating this year alongside the impressive list of participants, 90 percent of whom are repeat exhibitors. The new participants come from Germany, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, and Spain.
The participation of those countries, being some of the leading industrial countries, adds value to the high-calibre profile of this exhibition, and promises to bring the latest in technology and quality of products than the past 2 editions.
“With more than US$ 25 billion worth of trade in pools, spa, recreation centre equipment and accessories every year, the Middle East is one of the fastest growing markets in the world in this industry,” added Attallah.
The idea of the Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition started in 2003. A feasibility study was made, and it was found that the benefits for the UAE and the GCC of this exhibition were great given the real estate and tourism boom in the region. At the time, no such exhibition catering to the needs of those specific industries existed. The findings were very encouraging, as the benefits were for both the exhibitors and the users of swimming pools, such as hotels, villa owners, real estate agents, commercial tower owners, tourism project supervisors, architecture and design companies, and municipalities.
The third Middle East Pool & Spa Exhibition will showcase everything related to the industry, including, family pool, private pool, pool surrounding equipment, swimming pool equipment, anti slip system, pool pumping & installation, pool cleaning equipment & materials, changing room lockers, spa equipment, health centre facilities, hot tubes, steam rooms, sauna rooms, Turkish Hammam, Water Fountains, Swim Wear, and other related materials and services.
The first edition of this exhibition was held in Abu Dhabi in 2004, and then in Dubai in 2006, and will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre biannually, exhibiting all products and accessories related to the pool and resort industry.
With more than 5,000 visitors last year, a 30% growth in the number of participants, and an impressive 90% of the exhibitors returning from the last edition, the 2008 edition of the event is expected to see record visitor turnout. Being the only specialist exhibition in the pool and spa industry in the region, this exhibition attracts both international and exhibitors and visitors.
