Mayor of Amman, Omar Maani inspected work mechanism at the Production Department which provides all wooden furniture and metal supplies to the various departments and regions of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) , in the presence of Amman City Manager, Engineer Ammar Gharaybeh.
In his tour, Maani was briefed by the Executive Director of the Facilities and Public Parks, Engineer Abdullah Al Huneiti, on the products of the Department, stages of production, and its accomplishments within a short span of time.
The Department, induced within the framework of the institutional performance development project (restructuring), contributes to sourcing out a financial abundance for GAM through the production of all the wooden and metal supplies for the departments and regions of the Amman Municipality.
Mayor Maani commended the concerted efforts of the Department,, its work mechanism, and the wooden and metal products, all provided at the highest quality and accuracy standards
On the sidelines of the visit, Maani inaugurated a factory of metal containers at the Department.
The Mayor was also briefed by the Director of Production, Engineer Shareef Al 'Umoush, on the mechanism and steps of the consolidated manufacturing through the ideal utilization of resources.
During the tour in the factory, Maani stressed the importance of providing all the necessary safety requirements for the workers there.
Accompanied by the City Deputy Manager for Public Works, and the executive directors of engineering, sanitation, and environment, Maani concluded his tour by visiting the hall that the Department designated for displaying its products.
It is worth noting that the Department of Production, which was supplied by all the necessary equipment for manufacturing, is divided into three sections : The first is specialized in manufacturing metal works (iron and aluminum),in addition to a special branch for maintaining containers; The second handles the production of and upholstering wooden furniture, in addition to painting the products; and the third is devoted to supplying the Department of all the raw materials necessary for production and manufacturing.
Also worth mentioning is that the Department has a special hall for displaying its products, and wooden and metal supplies.
