Bahrain-based Life Insurance Corp (International), a subsidiary of India's Life Insurance Corp (LIC) plans to open offices in Dubai and Oman as part of expansion in the GCC, the Gulf News reported Monday.
Meanwhile, new LIC Chairman G.N. Bajpai was quoted by the daily as saying that, "the competition is very strong in the local insurance industry in India ever since the country was opened up to foreign insurance companies." -- Albawaba.com
