Indonesia's government will refuse to meet a UN Security Council mission when it arrives next week to probe the killings of three UN staff in West Timor, a minister said Tuesday.

"Today's cabinet meeting has decided that the Indonesian government will not meet that mission because we already have our own programs," Defence Minister Mohammad Mahfud told journalists.

Mahfud was speaking to journalists after a special cabinet meeting to discuss the government's plans to settle the problems of the militia and the East Timorese refugees in West Timor. JAKARTA(AFP)
