Dubai - UAE, April 28, 2010 – “Beyond Connectivity 2010” the two-day conference themed “Shifting Gears – Innovative Strategies for a New Era” and organized by SAMENA Telecommunications Council, the tri-regional telecom consortium, commenced today in Beirut – Lebanon, bringing together some of the important and foremost telecommunications experts and industry leaders in the region. The event which is aimed at identifying trends, strategies, and regulatory changes required to enhance growth, provided the key decision makers with an opportunity to discuss how gears need to be shifted in this new era of innovation and intense competitiveness.
Delivering the welcome speech, Thomas Wilson, CEO, Founder, & Executive Managing Director of SAMENA said, “The past year has been challenging for the industry on the regional and global level, and the year ahead equally critical, if not more. Opening the conference, Bocar A. Ba, President of SAMENA Telecommunications Council said, “The Council’s mandate is to promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing among all telecommunications players to facilitate the growth and advancement of the industry in the region.
