The heads of the UN weapons inspectors team, searching for weapons of mass destructions in Iraq will present their report on Monday to the Security Council.
UN chief weapons inspector Hans Blix and Muhammad el-Baradei, chief of the International Atomic Energy Agency, will appear before the Security Council at 15:00GMT.
The UN report on Iraq will contain no surprises, Mohamed ElBaradei said Sunday en route to New York .
He told reporters that he would give the council “as comprehensive a picture as possible”. “I hope our report will give the international community an objective assessment. How they want to use it - that’s their prerogative,” ElBaradei said.
Asked if his report would contain any surprises, he said: “I don’t think so.” “The report will summarize what we have been doing in the last two months,” ElBaradei said. “We will report on progress achieved and we will also tell them what we still need to do.” (Albawaba.com)
