For the eighth consecutive year, the InterContinental Mzaar celebrated its own environmental day. On this day, everyone worked together to make Ouyoun el Simane a cleaner and prettier place to visit. Employees, managers and head of departments "showed they care" and gathered next to the resort, all having the same purpose to conserve the beauty and charm of the region.
During that day the resort team committed in protecting the environment. They were equipped with professional cleaning gear and a strong will to freshen up the neighborhood. Split in different groups so as to cover as many areas as possible, they made sure the area from Ouyoun el Simane till Faqra- including the natural stone bridge of Kfardebiane and the Faqra ruins- were dirt free.
"Our strategy is to develop the destination and make it a better place to welcome tourists and vacationers" said Walid Kanaan, InterContinental Mzaar General Manager.
He added "In addition to cleaning the area, InterContinental Mzaar has taken important steps to become more environmental friendly and help reduce our carbon footprint. Using energy saving lights, serving organic food and recycling are just a few of those necessary steps taken."
