International Cards Company (ICC) launched its co-branded MasterCard® credit card with Jordan Trade Facilities (JTFC), enabling JTFC customers to enjoy a new range of services through the co-branded credit card. The new co-branded credit card is accepted in around 30 million locations in Jordan and abroad. Cardholders can also take advantage of cash advance through over 1.5 million ATMs in addition to convenient and innovative monthly payment solutions at highly attractive interest rates. Cardholders will also benefit from the existing privileges of carrying an ICC MasterCard® credit card; namely 24-hour customer service, full delivery services and a bundle of value added services.
The announcement of the agreement was made during a press conference at the Intercontinental Hotel in Amman, chaired by Khalil Alami, Chief Executive Officer of ICC, Hisham Jaber, General Manager of Jordan Trade Facilities Company and Basel Eltell, Vice President and Regional Manager, Levant of MasterCard® Worldwide.
ICC’s MasterCard® co-branded programs are designed to combine the power and reach of its institution with the extended benefits, strength and recognition of its co-branded partner to customize and deliver card programs that are tailor-made to customers’ needs. The mutual decision to develop a partnership between ICC and JTFC is a result of the synergy between the two companies and their common interest to best serve their clients by continuing to develop new and innovative payment solutions.
Khalil Alami, CEO of ICC, said, "We at ICC are extremely pleased with this co-branded program with JTFC who is considered a leader in personal financing. We are also pleased to announce that the co-branded MasterCard® program will use the latest in cutting-edge EMV technology, a technology ICC has implemented in the Jordanian card payment industry in line with international standards”.
ICC has been a principal member of MasterCard® since 1999 and over the course of the past 11 years, the company has been a firm believer in delivering services that are a “first of their kind” in the Jordanian market, MasterCard® co-branded cards being one of them. “The first co-branded card we launched was in 2001. It went on to become a success in the Jordanian credit card market due to its novelty and need-based approach, paving the way for nine more vastly successful MasterCard® co-branded programs,” added Alami.
On his part, General Manager of Jordan Trade Facilities Company, Hisham Jaber commented, “We are excited to partner with ICC to enhance our full service line of financial products. Our clients will soon have the convenience and personal touch associated with a JTFC credit card, combined with all the amenities of a worldwide credit card program."
“As a result of this collaboration between ICC and JFTC, cardholders will certainly enjoy added benefits as well as the security and convenience of using their MasterCard® card at 30 million acceptance locations worldwide”, said Basel Eltell, Vice President and regional manager, Levant, MasterCard® Worldwide. “The comfortable and flexible payment facilities that this co-brand card offers are in great demand by cardholders in Jordan. This association demonstrates the commitment of MasterCard® to develop local solutions to meet cardholder needs”.
In addition to better serving customers, ICC’s co-brand programs also add value to partner brands through greater exposure and an opportunity for significant growth in the market due to an additional revenue stream.
