International Cards Company (ICC) is the first and only MasterCard Acquirer in Jordan that now makes point of sale (POS) payments to merchants within 24 hours.
With more than 80% of the MasterCard acquiring market share, ICC has decided to raise the standards of service by providing merchants with their POS payment within 24 hours from the settlement, in addition to the current payment delivery service and the ability to transfer payments to any bank within the kingdom.
The Deputy General Manager of ICC, Mr. Khalil Al-Alami said, “The adaptation to a 24 hour clearing procedure is a reaction to the market and merchant needs. Jordan is a rapidly progressing country and the financial sector must maintain and adapt it’s services accordingly.”
ICC has been in the acquiring business since mid 2001. The ICC Point of Sale (POS service) will accept all MasterCard®, MasterCard® Electronic and recently Diners Club cards. Merchants are offered high international standard services, various value added features to the service, competitive discount rates and now the fastest payment and collection time in the region.
