As part of its global strategic development plan, the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority “Jafza” organised a conference entitled “Invest in Jebel Ali” recently in Taipei International Trade Shows in Taiwan and attended by Ibrahim Mohammad Al Janahi the Commercial Sales Vice President and Jamal Marghoob, Sales Regional Manager of Asia and Pacific in Jafza.
Al Janahi said that this conference that organised in cooperation with Taiwan External Trade Development Consul “TAITRA” aims to aware all Taiwanese companies about the investment opportunities in Jafza as one of the most successful free zone in the World. Taiwan is one of the main Market that the Middle East dealing with in general and Gulf regional in particular.
He added that We have around 15 Taiwanese companies in Jafza so we aims through this conference to market and promote about us as a fruitful investment point for all Taiwanese companies who need to establish their business in the our region that will help to increase of the Taiwanese companies in the Free Zone.
Al Janahi presented a work paper about Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) in general and Jafza in particular explaining all facilities and benefits that ensured by the Free Zone for all companies and procedures presented to establish a company in Jafza as well as future projects and plan, new buildings & warehouses and other utilities that to serve these companies in addition to the connection between Port Jebel Ali and Jebel Ali Airport that to be start operation at the end of year 2007 and new & future expansion of the port.
Al Janahi stated that the conference attracted the attention of the biggest companies in Taiwan which are searching for the right opportunity to enforce its products penetration in the regional markets and the surrounding regions, while TAITRA invited the biggest Taiwanese companies who dealing with the Middle East, Far East and the region in general whereas manufacturing or import or export or re-export and these also from the specialized companies in electronics, electrical equipments, furniture and ready-made fabrics.
Al Janahi assured that the Taiwan companies and specially the industrial ones have a big opportunity to expand its products dissemination in markets that has a very strong relationship with Dubai and especially with Jafza. The conference witnessed the participation of number of biggest Taiwanese companies that will help us to increase their number in Jafza because this conference specialized as big gathering for all companies, businessmen and investors in one place.
Al Janahi also said we also met some companies from Hong Kong and China to recognize their work nature, services and industries they execute.
Alongside the conference, Jafza delegation also visit two exhibitions “Digi-Tronics” and “Auto-Tronics” and met some companies in fields of Electronics, modern techniques, Automobiles and its spare parts to develop their business and establish in Jafza in addition to met officials from Taiwan External Trade Development Consul “TAITRA” and Taipei International Trade Shows. Then the delegation also visits Shenzhen city in China accompanied with his Excellency Saeed Al Juneibi, UAE Consul General in Hong Kong and met one of the biggest Chinese companies in communication, electronic equipments and Third generation techniques to facilitate their mission to inaugurate their regional center in Jafza.
