IOF arrests 5 citizens in WB

According to WAFA, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) arrested 5 citizens in the West Bank (WB) cities of Ramallah and Bethlehem and Tulkarem, witnesses said.

They told WAFA that Israeli special squads stormed today- at pre-dawn- Qalandia refugee camp of Ramallah and al-Biereh city and attacked and beaten up an identified person, then they arrested him and led him into an unknown location.

In Bethlehem, Israeli soldiers moved into al-Ebeidat town, east the city, took positions along the main street all entrances, besieged the home of Anwar Al-Assa, forced its inhabitants under gun point to get out to the open and arrested Anwar al-Asa 24, a university student at al-Quds University. Al-Assa was led into an unknown spot.

Witnesses said that IOF broke into al-Assa's home, vandalized its equipment, spreading a state of fear and panic among elders, women and children.

In Tulkarem, witnesses said that the IOF arrested Baher Hadrab 20, Amer Sandouq 23, and Ihab al-Ashqar 57, leading them into unknown location.

In Hebron, Israeli soldiers stormed in the morning the citizens' homes in Harat al-Sheikh, down town and launched a search campaign into these homes. They broke into Abu Rmeila's home, confined the family in one room and then turned it into a military post.

In the meantime, Ofer, Israeli military court, west Ramallah, sentenced today the prisoner Ahmed Rashaida 20, to 8 months in prison as well as a fine of 2000 NIS (New Israeli Shekel).

Rashaida has been in Ofer prison since last May and he is a university student.
