Iran has provided UN inspectors with key documents about activities that could be used to make a nuclear weapon and allowed them to question a senior official suspected of involvement in the program, diplomats and officials said Thursday.
According to the AP, Iran's recent decision to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency will help to determine whether its military was engaged in secret uranium enrichment activities.
On his part, Iran's Secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Larijani said in comments published on Thursday, "Islamic Republic of Iran is not pessimistic about resumption of nuclear negotiations with the EU3, but it does not permit the others to draw the outlines of talks and to impose it against Iran."
Reacting to optimistic comments regarding resumption of Iran's nuclear negotiations in recent days, Larijani said, "I, too, am optimistic about resuming of talks, and sincerely hope this would be the case."
