Iran and China have agreed to establish a cigarette manufacturing factory in one of Iran's free economic regions, reported Iran News Agency (IRNA).
A trade ministry official said that the two countries will also enhance research cooperation in agricultural fields to produce a better quality of tobacco.
He added that according to the agreements made by the two countries, Iran does not have to pay duty for importing tobacco from China.
With an annual production of 2 trillion tons of tobacco, China produces two third of the world's tobacco, said the agency, adding that the world's annual tobacco production is six trillion tons – Albawaba.com
