Iran's deputy minister of mineral industries this week told Sri Lanka that his country was looking into the possibility of investing in the Asian country’s mineral resources, according to the Daily News.
The Iranian delegation arrived in Sri Lanka to explore avenues where both countries would benefit from the sector, according to the paper.
At a discussion held in Colombo after touring Sri Lanka's mineral resources sites with his delegation, the Iranian official was quoted as saying that his country was interested in investing in the Free Trade Zone and the Industrial City and would consider entering into the mineral resources industry – Albawaba.com
