As Iranians voting stations opened on Friday, hundreds of thousands of police forces were deployed all over the country to tighten the security until the end of the election process. According to Press TV, Deputy Commander of the Iranian police, Brigadier-General Ahmad Reza Radan said Friday that more than 200,000 security officials have been tasked with maintaining election security and escorting the ballot boxes to the designated counting centers.

According to him, safety escorts provided by police personnel have substantially managed to ensure candidates' security in recent weeks.
