Two Iranian murderers were hanged at dawn Sunday, reported the official Iranian news agency (IRNA).
The two, Mehdi Varmazyari and Safar Shah-Hassanlou, were convicted by a local court in northwestern Iran of "murdering two bank tellers" and "robbery."
The death penalty was upheld by the Supreme Court, said IRNA.
The pair killed Asgar Kasebi and Bairam Reza-Zadeh on March 31.
Over 4,000 people gathered to witness the event, said the agency – Albawaba.com
