High-ranking officials from Japan and Iran are set to hold talks on disarmament and non-proliferation of nuclear arms in the Iranian capital of Tehran on July 12, the Japanese foreign ministry said Wednesday.
It will mark the first such meeting since the two countries held similar talks in 2000 in Tokyo, the ministry said in a statement, cited by AFP.
"We would like to discuss ways to further strengthen treaties against bio-chemical weapons as well as nuclear and missile non-proliferation treaties, " the ministry said. (Albawaba.com)
